“ Charming and cosy small pub and restaurant. Great pub grub style menu with plenty of homemade food available. We enjoyed the fish and chips and the black pudding very good quality. The service was a little slow with larger tables getting faster attention. We waited a long time to order more drinks and a dessert menu. We expected a wait for our mains but weren't put off by this as they were excellent. Good drink choices available. Can be busy even on weekdays due to the location and size of the establishment. Definitely will return. ”

“ Was busy, despite it being a Monday evening, and early too. I ordered a beef pie, was informed that would take a little while as cooked fresh. Unfortunately I had an appointment, so asked what would be quick - roast dinner. I had turkey, friend had beef. Honestly, the best roast dinner in years. Succulent meat, lots of veg and gravy. 2 meals, 2 drinks, under £30. Quick and friendly service. Will be back for that beef pie when I have more time. ”

“ Love this quirky pub! Went in on a Sunday for food...not thinking about the time and Sunday dinner. They were busy but the staff were lovely and friendly and we managed to get a table with very little wait. The food was amazing, I had the roast and husband had the fish dish. 2 courses were very reasonably priced. Would have had desert but the starters and roast finished me off. Funky trinkets on the walls and ceilings and some games you can use. ”
